The smoke test just tests for errors, etc. The main survey will be going out very shortly!
In other news, I got the first peek at the book jacket design! it's STUNNING!
We funded, and we reached our $7k stretch goal...so... what next?

We did it! So. What's next?Well, I dunno about you, but I'm gonna break open the wine, have a glass and sleep for a week.
Okay, that's what I
wanna do. But instead, I'll deal with dinner and take a deep breath.
You guys?
First:Your cards get charged, and that's probably already happened.
Usually, it all goes nice and smooth. If you have a problem, which happens, BK will automatically try again. If it happens again the second try a day or two later, contact support and they can help you out.
Second:
Funds take about two weeks to reach me. I'll be working on the book. Reminder, this is a work in progress. The
latest I anticipate it being done and delivered is in
March 2025.
However, things will be happening once funds come in.
Third:Surveys go out.
As they come, I start commissioning
all the art.
- I've already got my cartographer on board and once I can pay them, we go to work on the interior map.
- I'm already slated for art with Blue Raven Book Designs for the dustjacket
- Commission more art from AngelliniX for chibis
- Commission two pieces of erotic art from Kmochi and the next 4 illustrations for a total of eight illustrations, plus the bird art I drew
- And all the while, I'm writing
Regarding the surveys, make sure you've whitelisted emails from @backetkit.com otherwise you might miss important updates, especially regarding the survey. I'll need that information from you.
You'll be asked if you're a resident of Indiana so I can make appropriate sales tax payments.
Reminder: You are not charged for shipping at this time. Shipping will be collected closer to distribution and you must authorize BK to charge your card at a later date. You can't get your goodies without this okay. You're responsible for shipping and any customs fees.
Fourth:
You'll get a survey reminder.
And you'll keep getting them until you finish your survey!
And I'll still be writing.
Fifth:
As art gets approved, I'll be ordering vellum inserts, stickers, etc and keeping backers updated through the update feature here.
Sixth:
I anticipate finishing the book in January. Edits to be done by February with proofs ordered shortly after. As long as everything looks good, I'll get the books ordered for delivery with shipment to start in early March.
I might be missing some of the smaller details and I'm sure there are questions.
